Dr K is a junior doctor specialising in histopathology. When she tells people she is a pathologist they sometimes have some strange reactions. In fact very few people understand what pathologists do except other pathologists. Dr K is sick of people thinking she is a psychopath and wants to sort out some of these misconceptions, as well as having a good whinge about medicine, the universe and pathology.

I can't believe that it's actually true. It seems like such a fluke, and way too incredibly dumb to be serious... right??
There is so much wierd stuff floating round, Cal. The Little Black Duck and Respectful Insolence often highlight some of the worst and most bizarre. It's difficult to imagine that people will believe some of this stuff but maybe they do.

Heh. That gave me a chuckle too. It IS amazing what people get up to in their spare time.
Ooh, and I'm strongly leaning towards a Pathology option next year!

Pathology is fun, Angry! Well I would say that. Is your pathology option more on the diagnostic side (looking at specimens and slides, seeing autopsies etc.) or more of the basic theory/research stuff with signalling pathways etc?
